In the event of a claim, IMMEDIATE notice of the occurrence is required per the Mortality Policy. In case of death of the insured animal you MUST arrange for a licensed Veterinarian to conduct a necropsy at your expense.

Your MUST seek directly with an adjuster to obtain permission and approval prior to any surgical procedure and or euthanasia.
If your insured animal has become ill, has sustained an injury or has had an accident THAT IS NOT LIFE THREATENING, you can go online and complete and submit a claims form.

Contact and cooperate with local police and emergency personnel as circumstances dictate
Gather and write down all incident details
Gather and write down the names and contact information of all witnesses
Secure the names and phone numbers of EMS, police, fire, medical and or hospital personnel
DO NOT ADMIT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE INCIDENT
Do not discuss the incident with anyone but policy, emergency personnel, NEAL or your insurance agent
Do not disclose any insurance information
If you are served suit papers by a third party, whether you believe it is valid or applies to your insurance policy, IMMEDIATELY contact York Risk Services, Inc. at the above address/phone/fax. BE PREPARED TO FAX OR MAIL A COPY OF THESE PAPERS TO YORK RISK SERVICES, INC.
