Equine Mortality Coverage

Insure Your Farm or Ranch

Your farm is a major investment in your life whether your property is a small pleasure farm or an affluent equestrian estate.  It is very likely that a Homeowners policy doesn’t cover the risks of owning a farm, ranch or stable. Most Homeowners policies do not cover boarding, breeding, riding lessons, buying, selling or training horses, which are considered business pursuits. An Equine Farm Package policy can bridge the need for both a Homeowners policy and a Commercial Liability policy.

We can custom-tailor a policy that will fit your insurance needs.  Our modular format offers a variety of coverages to choose from.

Insure Your Equine Liability

Commercial Liability

This coverage is vital protection if you perform any commercial Equine activities such as boarding, instruction, riding academies, training, breeding, clinics or sales. Coverage is provided if you are sued by a third party who is injured or whose property is damaged due to your Equine-related activities.  This coverage covers defense costs and claims for which you are legally liable, up to the policy limits.

Personal Liability
In the event your horse injures a third party or damages their property, we can provide you coverage for medical costs, defense costs and pay claims for which you are legally liable during the policy period.

Care, Custody and Control
Many farm and ranch owners and operators who broad, breed or train animals, owned by others, assume they will never be sued, or if they are sued they assume that their General Liability coverage will protect them in the event of a death or injury to a horse left in their care.  What many do not realize is that most General Liability policies exclude coverage for death or injury to horses in your care.  This coverage will protect you with defense costs and will provide for medical care and/or replacement cost of an animal up to the policy limits if a horse is injured or dies while in your care and you are found negligent.  With limits available up to $250,000 per animal and $500,000 maximum loss per policy year, you can buy only the coverage you need.
